Developed by Joseph Pilates almost a century ago, Classical Pilates is an exercise system that improves strength, posture and flexibility requiring and enhancing the connection between mind and body. Focusing on the core muscles, it targets the abdominals, back and glutes, providing a full body workout aimed at boosting everyday fitness and protecting the body from injury by improving joint mobility, stability and muscle elasticity. Using mats and specially designed machines, the Classical Pilates Method can be adapted to benefit anyone and everyone from non-exercisers to professional athletes, tennis players to golfers, teens to seniors, expectant moms to those recovering from injury.
